Our talented and experienced staff help students build their artistic skills and creative thinking abilities, and empower students to take the lead in producing their own work.
The UTS drama program provides students with a chance to explore a wide range of theatre styles, from Shakespeare and Commedia Dell'Arte to contemporary works, plays by local Indigenous authors. Students hone their collaborative and creative skills as they build and rehearse original works of their own. UTS competes in the National Theatre School of Canada Drama Festival and Southern Ontario Youth Theatre Festival, earning awards for original ] scripts, acting, and ensemble work. At UTS we focus on building empathy and creating imaginative work through drama, but also on a transferable skillset with a focus on collaboration, leadership, organization, innovative thinking, problem-solving, public speaking, and presenting. In addition to exciting performance and creative opportunities, drama studies help students express themselves in compelling and original ways.
đánh đề onlineFrom their first year at UTS, students develop musical, creative, and collaborative skills through the study of instrumental music. The 6-year music program includes performance techniques, theory, history, composition, leadership, community engagement, interdisciplinary opportunities, and professional collaborations. Music students have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of ensembles and co-curricular opportunities including choirs, chamber strings, junior and senior string orchestras, symphony orchestra, taiko drumming, stage band, junior and symphonic bands, and music recording and production.
The department produces an hat features original music composed and performed by UTS students. UTS Music alumni include prominent performers, teachers, conductors, composers, and songwriters. In 2017, students, staff, and alumni collaborated on the commercially-released album, I Remember, featuring original classical compositions. It can be or streamed online.
The Music Program fosters a life-long love of music and the arts and equips students with the tools to express themselves through music.

School-wide exhibitions give arts students the chance to learn about curation and showcase their art, and, in recent years, senior students have created projects for , a city-wide all-night exhibtion of public installations.
